MEDICAL QUALITY 2011 will offer physicians and other quality professionals unique opportunities to learn about the newest developments in health care quality improvement. Attendees will return to their employers with skills and shared experiences that will better enable their businesses to perform and will enhance the career possibilities for the participants.
This is the tenth year that we will hold concurrent national scientific sessions with the American College of Preventive Medicine. The joint meeting allows ACMQ offers its members and other attendees expanded opportunities for professional continuing education and networking that should enhance personal skills and opportunities. This meeting promises high-level instruction from recognized expert faculty, a large attendance, and a superb conference setting.

Medical Quality 2011, in cooperation with Preventive Medicine 2011, invites proposals for presentations on medical quality management and clinical quality improvement activities. The joint ACMQ and ACPM conference welcomes submissions in four major areas:

About Medical Quality 2011
Medical Quality 2011, the annual meeting of the American College of Medical Quality, offers physicians and other quality professionals unique opportunities to learn about the newest developments in healthcare quality improvement. Attendees will return to their employers with skills and shared experiences that will better enable their institutions and companies to perform and their career to advance. Medical Quality 2011, to be held February 17-19, 2011 at the Grand Hyatt San Antonio, also offers opportunities for networking, scientific updates, skill development and CME credits.
Submission Process
To be considered for a poster presentation, your submission must be received by Friday, October 15, 2010. Submissions may only be submitted online by visiting our abstract website. We will not accept faxed, emailed or mailed submissions. The abstract submission form has been pre-formatted and there are detailed instructions on how to submit online. The website will restrict you to a length of 2200 characters, or about 300 words.
All submissions will be reviewed by an appointed subcommittee of the ACMQ Conference Planning Committee. The author of each submission will be notified of the results by early November.

1. All presenters whose abstracts (oral or posters) are accepted for presentation at Medical Quality 2011 are required to pay the meeting registration fees and all other expenses involved with attending.
2. Accepted abstract submissions will be printed for Medical Quality 2011.

Poster Presentations
Abstract authors may apply to have their research graphically presented as a poster presentation at Medical Quality 2011. Poster presentations must be set up in the exhibit hall between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 16, 2011. Posters will remain in the exhibit hall for display until Friday, February 18, 2011. Presenters must be available to discuss their work and answer questions during the formal poster session and reception on Thursday, February 17, 2011 from 6:15 to 7:30 pm. More information will be provided upon notification of acceptance. Abstracts for poster presentations, like abstracts for oral presentations, must present the results of scientific research, technological advances, and innovations in program design, practice methods, or educational techniques.
Criteria for Evaluation of Abstracts for Poster Presentations
1. Objectives of the research, program or other activity described are clear and consistent with the principles and methods of medical quality management and/or clinical quality improvement.
2. The research was performed using rigorous scientific methods, and/or appropriate program planning and evaluation methods were employed.
3. Results/outcomes are described and are relevant to the professional practice of other meeting participants.
Abstracts are selected on the basis of scientific merit. Abstracts will be arranged to fit into focus areas. Guidelines for presentations will be provided to authors of accepted abstracts.

Science Award
The recognition certificate for outstanding poster presentation will be presented during ACMQ's Awards Luncheon on Friday, February 18, 2011.

ACMQ designates this educational activity for a maximum of 15 AMA PRA Category 1 creditsTM. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
