This catalogue contains the professional and ethical policies of the American College of Medical Quality.
These policies were prepared by the Ethics and Professional Policy Committee and adopted by ACMQ's board of trustees after extensive review by a national advisory panel of experts. They are revised and updated as needed.
We offer these policies as references for use by third party payors, providers, managed care organizations, utilization review organizations, legislative and regulatory agencies of state and federal governments, and other health care entities involved in managing and improving medical outcomes, efficiency and cost-effectiveness of healthcare quality. The policies can be used as a resource in developing and evaluating healthcare delivery systems for quality and efficient use of resources. They are also
intended to provide assistance in the evaluation and development of state and federal health care policy.
These policies may not represent the positions of all members of ACMQ but they reflect the consensus of a majority of the members of the committee, the board of trustees and the advisory panel.
The American College of Medical Quality (ACMQ) is the medical specialty society for physicians with expertise in medical quality management, recognized by the American Medical Association.
