Volunteer with ACMQ

Your Engagement Matters: Volunteer with ACMQ

  • Develop your executive leadership skills, connect with peers, and enhance your profile by volunteering with ACMQ. Volunteer opportunities are available exclusively to ACMQ members. Whether you are retired and want to stay engaged or amid starting your busy career, we have a number of volunteer opportunities currently available that span the spectrum from committee service to short-term, project-based roles.

  • Committee Service:

    • Finance Committee – Oversees the finances and financial policies of the College, prepares the annual budget, reviews new program costs, and oversees the annual audit. Meets every other month for one hour. Co-chair and committee member positions open.

    • Education Committee – Develops and supports in-person and virtual educational programs, curriculum, and other learning resources. Meets every other month for one hour, but also attends meetings for and interacts with ACMQ taskforces and the Student, Resident, and Fellows (SRF) Section. Committee member positions open.

    • SRF Section – Serves as a bridge between the Board of Trustees and ACMQ’s student and resident members. Develops in-person and virtual educational programs, mentoring programs, and other learning resources. Meets every other month for one hour. Committee member positions open.

  • Project-based Opportunities:

    • Mentorship – Are you looking to guide the next generation of medical quality leaders. Consider serving in an ‘Ask the Expert’ mentoring advisory group, where SRF members can come to ask questions and address the latest challenges and opportunities in their careers.

    • Monthly Webinar Presenter – Do you have a topic or body of knowledge you’re passionate about? Do you have a presentation you have built and want to share with a new audience? Consider presenting on one of ACMQ’s new one-hour monthly webinars.

    • Member Welcoming – Do you enjoy meeting new people and connecting with fellow ACMQ members? Then you may want to consider becoming part of our new member welcome efforts. Each month, you will receive a small list of new ACMQ members to connect with via phone, email, and even in person!
