ACMQ Code of Ethics

  • To adhere fully to codes of ethical and professional conduct, as established by the American Medical Association or the American Osteopathic Association or applicable state medical or professional society.

  • To practice the healthcare profession with adherence to the law, conscience and dignity.

  • To adhere to the standard of care in all medical decision-making.

  • Not to be influenced by motives of profit in the free and independent exercise of professional judgment on behalf of patients, providers or payors.

  • To have a medical or health professional license in the state or country where practicing healthcare.

  • To supply truthful and complete information in application for ACMQ membership.

  • When sitting on the board of trustees, to disclose fully and promptly any potential conflicts of interest which may include any fiduciary duty to a person or entity other than ACMQ that might jeopardize the board member's ability to exercise independent judgment and act in the best interests of ACMQ.
