Abstract Submissions for ACMQ's 2022 Annual Conference

Our intent is to be most inclusive of received submissions highlighting the following:
 

  1. Evidence-based strategies
  2. Robust quantitative and qualitative evaluation methods and measures
  3. Cutting edge, innovative Quality Improvement initiatives
  4. Forward-looking approaches to engaging and developing early-career health professionals

Resource: How to Write an APA Abstract

The presenting author of an accepted abstract must register and pay the registration fee for the meeting. Abstract presenters need to register in the appropriate category (i.e., ACMQ member, nonmember) and pay the appropriate registration fees under each category.  

All accepted abstracts will be scheduled either in an oral or poster presentation. All presentations including question-and-answers will be conducted in English. Presenters may request assistance from the moderator who will repeat or rephrase questions from the audience or may ask a colleague in the audience to assist with translation. 

All expenses associated with the submission and presentation of an abstract are the responsibility of the presenter. 


2022 ACMQ Quality Scholar Program


As a Quality Scholar, you will receive professional mentorship from physician leaders in Medical Quality, the opportunity to share your work at a national level at the Annual Conference, complimentary registration to attend the Conference, and a complimentary one-year ACMQ membership.

Featured Speakers

Below are just a few of the twenty speakers scheduled.

Dr. Knitasha V. Washington, founded and serves as President of ATW Health Solutions, a health care advisory and research firm based in Chicago. She is a board member for National Quality Forum in Washington D.C. and the American Academy of Family Physicians Foundation. Knitasha serves in multiple roles driving change and innovation nationally and locally. She has keynoted and lectured numerous organizations around the country and to her credit has received many nominations and awards as a performance improvement expert with health care systems around the country.

Dr. Cheryl Rucker-Whitaker is an accomplished physician executive and transformational entrepreneur in managing in complex environments in academia, industry government and the non-profit sector. She is practiced in population health management and data analytics with diverse populations, technology platform buildouts with expertise in community-based engagement and care. She was elected by her peers to be President and Chair of the Institute of Medicine Chicago Board of Governors, and Chair of the Illinois Medicaid Advisory Committee.

Dr. Abha Agrawal is a graduate of Yale University, a former faculty at Harvard Medical School, a Fulbright Scholar and an author of several books on patient safety and health information technology. Dr. Agrawal has served in numerous leadership roles in the U.S. and currently serves as the Chief Medical Officer at Humboldt Park Health in Chicago. She was invited to the White House to meet with President Obama’s health and economic policy advisor and provided testimony to the U.S. Senate. In 2019, Abha received a special  invitation to the 4th Global Health Ministers Summitt on Patient Safety in Saudi Arabia to speak to Health Ministers of sixty-three countries.
